No use denying it, I want style prize -- Kathryn

Kathryn Thomas has said she would "absolutely love" to the top prize at tonight's Peter Mark VIP Style Awards.

And the No Frontiers presenter, who has been nominated for the style accolade nearly every year, has admitted how she has definitely witnessed the claws coming out among competitive attendees.

"I would be lying if I said I never experienced any bitchiness on the night because there definitely are people saying 'did you see what so and so turned up wearing'," she explained.

"But that's all part of the fun in my eyes. People love having the banter and seeing what everyone else is wearing. I love seeing people pushing the boat out and showing off their own personal style instead of having someone else dressing them.

SHOULDERS

"It's all about expressing your own style and what you think looks well and it's always a really fun night out for everyone. It's great that new people like Jordan and Liz Hurley are coming along as well -- I can't wait to see them in the flesh.

"I'm not going to lie and say I don't want to win because it would be a lovely honour if I did." She'll be rubbing shoulders with some 300 of our socialites and celebs and will turn on the glam in a bid to walk home with the coveted Most Stylish Lady title from the Shelbourne Hotel tonight.

This year's bash will also be attended for the first time by glamour girl Katie Price, top actress Liz Hurley and supermodel Caprice in what will really up the ante in the glamour stakes.

Carlow native Kathryn will be battling it out against 15 other fashion queens this evening including TV3's Anna Daly, Robbie Fox's wife Martina, Grainne Seoige and Ronan Keating's wife Yvonne. Latest odds are putting Morah Ryan as one of the frontrunners, with Pippa O'Connor and Brian Ormond as the favourites to win the Most Stylish Couple prize.

Meanwhile, Kathryn has revealed how filming has not finished on the latest installment of her hit travel show, with the next few months spent in post-production for her and her team.

She'll also be stepping into Ryan Tubridy's shoes on the radio next week as he's flying off to a VIP party in the White House attended by President Barack Obama and other luminaries.
