Night behind bars for Earl star Jaime
Actress Jaime Pressly has been arrested in Santa Monica for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Lt Darrell Lowe said the co-star of TV's My Name Is Earl was stopped for a traffic violation and booked on suspicion of DUI but would not release further details. Pressly's blood-alcohol level wasn't immediately released.
The Los Angeles County sheriff's website said the 33-year-old actress-model spent the night in jail and was released yesterday morning after posting $15,000 bail.
Pressly is best known for playing Joy on the NBC sitcom.
She was twice nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series, winning the award in 2007.
She has also been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe Award.
An email to her manager seeking comment wasn't immediately returned.
