Nasty jibes won't stop me - Loser Paddy

WEIGHT-loss star Paddy Cunningham has revealed he has been the target of critical messages.

The Biggest Loser star, who has made it to the closing stages of the hit TV3 series with just two weeks to go, has captured the hearts of many viewers across the UK and Ireland as he has managed to stick to his gruelling exercise regime and tough diet.

However, it appears that not everybody has been so supportive.

The radio commentator revealed that one particular viewer is bombarding him with dubious messages on Twitter.

"They sent me a message when last Monday's show was being aired saying 'you look very smug this week' and then they just kept messaging me over and over again," he explained.

"I just kept ignoring them and then it was mentioned how we were getting our teeth whitened and they immediately wrote 'is that to de-smug them?' and I said back that there was no need to be nasty.

"They replied that it was only a bit of tongue-in-cheek banter. I said I had no problem whatsoever with that but sometimes it doesn't come across that way."

However, most viewers have been rowing in behind Paddy, whose original weight was 21st 1lbs. He revealed to the Herald that there will be plenty of surprises in store for viewers during next Monday's episode, with just seven of the original 13 contestants remaining.

He's now facing into the final stages of the competition, which culminates in a live final filmed in London's Waterloo studios on February 28.

"My family's coming over from Sligo for that and a few friends are going to come and cheer me on," he said.
