My Name Is Earl star on drink charges
Actress Jaime Pressly has pleaded not guilty to two charges of drunken driving stemming from her January arrest in California.
Pressly (33), best known for her Emmy-winning role as a trailer-trash temptress in My Name Is Earl, had her plea entered on her behalf by her lawyer.
A judge set a pretrial hearing date of March 18.
Pressly is accused of driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.20pc or more, which is more than twice the legal limit of 0.08pc, according to the complaint filed by the Santa Monica city attorney's office.
Pressly filed for divorce from her husband of 15 months 16 days after her drunken driving arrest.
She was held for seven hours before being released on $15,000 bail.
In 2005, Pressly was cast in the sitcom My Name Is Earl, as Joy Turner. In 2007 she won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
