Model Nadia goes back to her roots

Model Nadia Forde has ditched her brunette wig in favour of the real deal after dyeing her trademark blonde locks brown.

The Assets beauty has been testing out her sultry new look by wearing a dark wig in photoshoots in recent months and decided to take the plunge to freshen up her image for winter.

Nadia (22) told the Herald how both her family and her FM104 DJ boyfriend Mark Noble love her new image and are delighted that she has decided to return to her Italian roots.

LIGHTER

"My mum is Italian and the colour I have now is pretty close to my natural hair colour that I last had when I was 15, it's just a small bit lighter, so she was delighted," Nadia said. "She said she can't wait for all the extended family to see it.

"Boys aren't the most reactive when it comes to these things but Mark seems to like it as well. He thinks it makes me look much younger. I've been talking about doing it for a while and then I did a shoot with Lili Forberg a few weeks ago wearing the brown wig and I just decided I'd love to go back and not to have the maintenance of highlights.

"I've only worn the wig two or three times, usually just at home, but it always got a good reaction."

Nadia asked her representatives, Assets modelling agency, for the go ahead before visiting Pzazz hair salon in Powerscourt Town Centre.

"Obviously I wanted to check with them first because dyeing your hair is quite a big deal when modelling is your job. Your look is how you make your living. Assets think it might open doors for me and allow me to work in areas that I wouldn't have had a chance to before.

AGENCY

"Georgia Salpa actually came in with me to get it done as I was quite scared."

And while she may have adopted a new image in time for the winter season, the leggy model is adamant she won't be joining her former colleagues Pippa O'Connor, Rosanna Davison and Sarah McGovern by moving to Andrea Roche's new agency.

"I really gained from Andrea after participating in the Miss Universe Ireland contest and I only wish her the best, but I'm happy where I am," she said.
