Mia takes time out to sample city's nightlife

Actress Mia Wasikowska took a break from her hectic filming schedule to hit the Dublin clubs over the weekend.

The Diary can reveal how the Alice in Wonderland star who has been here for the past month shooting Albert Nobbs with Glenn Close, was spotted letting her hair down in Buck's Townhouse.

The Australian actress, who replaced Amanda Seyfried in the part of Helen in the movie, came into the club with a few other members of the cast and crew as they sampled some of the capital's famous nightlife.

Also out enjoying themselves were injured Leinster star Rob Kearney and rugby commentator Brent Pope.

Other familiar faces included Karen Koster, Ruth Scott and dating show host Jennifer Maguire.

Meanwhile, over in Krystle, a gang of Strictly Come Dancing stars had settled in for the night. Cast members Kara Tointon, Tina O'Brien and Artem Chigvintsev were all seen enjoying themselves in the VIP haunt, fresh from their performance at the O2 arena.
