Marriage? Maybe I'll get it right third time - Eva
EVA Longoria knows marriage can be tough, but she was startled to hear what a Desperate Housewives co-star had to say on the subject.
Longoria, who split in 2010 from athlete-husband Tony Parker, was promoting her ABC television show with other cast members at a Television Critics Association meeting.
Felicity Huffman, discussing her character's marital woes on Desperate Housewives, claimed that 60pc of first marriages and 80pc of second unions end in divorce. Huffman did not cite a source for the percentages.
Longoria, with exaggerated panic, responded: "It gets higher?" Then she looked on the bright side, suggesting the third time would be the right time.
Desperate Housewives will end its eight-year run this season on ABC.
The stunning actress, who plays Gabrielle Solis, worked up a chemistry with Ricardo Antonio Chavira - her husband Carlos in the drama - at the event in Pasadena, California. Eva (36) who is dating 26-year-old actor Eduardo Cruz, laid an affectionate hand on her co-star throughout parts of the discussion.
Co-stars Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Vanessa Williams also answered questions about the final season of the show.
