Loved-up Gordon and Aoife steal the show at Spacey movie bash

Star couple Gordon D'Arcy and Aoife Cogan stole the show when they stepped out to the Jameson Cult Film Club event, the highlight of this year's Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.

The loved-up couple, who recently celebrated their one-year anniversary together, arrived at the star-studded event hand-in-hand, just as Hollywood A-lister Kevin Spacey was conducting interviews on the red carpet.

Rugby star Gordon said he was looking forward to watching a special screening of the iconic actor's Oscar-winning film The Usual Suspects, followed by an on-stage Q&A session with the screen star about the movie.

The hunky Leinster player, who happily posed for pictures alongside his former Miss Ireland girlfriend Aoife (27), was visibly delighted that he had the opportunity to rub shoulders with the acclaimed star before he entered the auditorium

The famously private couple remained close by each other's sides throughout the evening as they enjoyed the movie.

But the pair remained tight-lipped when it came to the subject of how their romance is progressing.

Meanwhile, up and coming TV presenter Lottie Ryan, the elder daughter of late broadcaster Gerry Ryan, was feeling star-struck after interviewing the actor for her gig as entertainment correspondent for RTE's The Daily Show.

She admitted she is a big fan and explained how Kevin Spacey had "made her night" when he agreed to pose for a picture with her.

Lottie was later joined by her brother Rex to watch the film.

Spacey joined Irish film director Jim Sheridan and his wife Fran, as well as Carlow actress Saoirse Ronan and her father Paul Ronan, to watch the screening from a VIP area.

Afterwards, the actor explained how he was thoroughly enjoying his visit to Dublin and paid tribute to the organisers of this year's Jameson Film Festival for planning such a memorable evening.

"It's terrific to be back in Ireland, we had a grand time here filming Ordinary Decent Criminal," he explained.

"That was a great story that had been done once before and I got to work with a lot of terrific people here.

"I'm very proud of this film [The Usual Suspects] and I'm so proud that it's something people still talk about and it stands the test of time

"People watch that movie again and again and get something new out of it.

"It was exciting to see how it would go down here tonight in Dublin," he added.

Among the big names who attended last night's event at abandoned Warehouse 'San Pedro' at Dublin's Docklands were Rosanna Davison and Lillie's Bordello hostess Hayley Rock, actor Kevin J Ryan, Brian Ormond, Dr Eva Orsmond of Operation Transformation fame, Mr World Kamal Ibrahim, 98fm's Siobhan O'Connor, Sean Munsanje and Lisa Cannon.
