Love blossoms for Rose Siobheal as she nabs a hunky Tralee escort

IT'S not just Daithi O'Se who found love at the Rose of Tralee.

Last year's Dublin Rose Siobheal Nic Eochaidh (24) has a blossoming romance with one of this year's hunky escorts.

The Media Studies graduate, who became an internet sensation thanks to her hip-hopping antics at the 2011 pageant, has nabbed herself a new boyfriend thanks to the festival.

She caught the eye of Brian Staunton and the pair made sure to enjoy the Kerry event together after he was chosen as the escort for the Down Rose, Una Matthews.

Admitting to the new romance, Siobheal said she was "mortified" that news of her new boyfriend had emerged.

"I met him a few months ago at one of the selection nights to support the Donegal Rose, he was there escorting a few Roses," she said.

The new couple were spotted looking cosy in the Dome at the after party with one source saying they were "very cute" together.

And Siobheal was even persuaded to perform her infamous party piece at one of the late-night bashes, much to the crowd's delight.

"I'm always the last one to leave the dancefloor. I went to bed about 5am," she said. The teetotal beauty said it never bothered her being the only one not drinking at parties.

Escort Brian is the president of the Waterford Institute of Technology Students Union and is also coaches De La Salle FC.

His official biography describes him as "well mannered" and said he's "always conscious of how his thoughts and actions can positively and negatively affect others."
