Lisa shakes off toe injury for girly weekend in Latvia
SOCIALITE Lisa Murphy has put the pain of a recurring foot injury aside this week in order to jet off to Latvia on a girly break.
The Diary can reveal how the glamorous salon owner (39) has travelled to eastern Europe -- complete with a pair of crutches -- after a visit to hospital last Friday for further treatment on a previous broken toe.
Lisa's fiance, celebrity solicitor Gerald Kean (54) explained how his stylish other half was now facing the prospect of having her toe broken for a second time in order to allow it to heal properly.
The south Dublin beauty's troubles first began last year when she tripped up stairs at the couple's luxurious home in Ballsbridge and failed to have it treated immediately, choosing instead to go on holiday to Portugal.
And now it looks like the leggy blonde is facing another few weeks off her feet, in order to ensure she is able to walk up the aisle in a pair of designer stilettos without any difficulty, when the high-profile couple exchange vows later this year.
"Lisa was in hospital again with it last Friday and unfortunately it looks like she'll need further treatment before it heals fully," her gregarious partner Gerald told the Diary.
"She came out on Saturday to judge the K Factor [at Palmerstown House Estate, Johnstown] in aid of the Hope Foundation with Mickey Joe Harte and Brian Ormond, who was there to present it.
"This week she's gone to Latvia with a couple of girlfriends, but she's still in a lot of pain with it."
