Leo and Dairine to celebrate anniversary at wedding
LEINSTER rugby captain Leo Cullen and wife Dairine will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary at a wedding.
The loved-up pair will be at the wedding of London Irish player Bob Casey on the day of their anniversary.
But the couple are keeping the romance alive with a winter break to Dubai this week.
"We really wanted some sun, just the two of us," revealed Dairine, who told the Herald that the loved-up pair plan to spend the anniversary day at their friend's wedding.
"I hadn't really thought about what we'd do, but it's the same weekend as Bob's wedding, so we're heading off to that. It'll be brilliant, I can't wait for it," said Dairine, who tied the knot on June 6 last year at St Bridget's church in Kilrush, Co Wexford.
A former Leinster second-row and room mate of Leo's, London Irish player Bob is set to get hitched to his long-term sweetheart Shauna Murphy.
Bob got down on one knee last May and a host of well-known faces are expected to attend the rugby wedding at popular venue, Rathsallagh House this summer.
The bash is just one of many in the coming months on the rugby circuit, which include Leinster's centre Gordon Darcy, who will wed model girlfriend Aoife Cogan at Castle Leslie in July.
Meanwhile, Leinster flanker Shane Jennings' fiancee Cliona Godwin has divulged that they have put their wedding off until next year, due to hectic schedules and college commitments.
"We haven't set the date, between Shane and his rugby and myself going back to college, there's just no time," said the Dubliner, who acted as one of Dairine's three bridesmaids last year.
