Kian wasn't fair to me, blasts Voice's Sandra

A DUBLIN singer eliminated from The Voice says she feels "like an idiot" for picking Kian, not Bressie, as a mentor.

Tallaght's Sandra Jane Hyland was dropped from the TV competition after facing teenager Graham Dowling in 'The Battle' section of the series.

The Dublin student admitted that she had expected more support from her mentor, Kian Egan, who she claimed gave more support to Graham (18).

"I feel like an idiot for not picking Bressie after the blind audition," said Sandra (20).

"I don't think Kian was very fair, he kept on telling Graham to step up if he wanted to win the battle, he never gave me any motivating speech. And once filming ended for Sunday night's episode, he never even said a word to me." She was unhappy with Kian's song choice, Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger, but she was praised for her vocals.

Kian said on the show that it was extremely difficult for him to decide which artist to keep.

When Kian asked guest coach Priscilla Samuels about Sandra Jane's performance, the Westlife choreographer gushed about her talent. "Sandra Jane, you've got a better vocal than some artists [that] I've already worked with," said Priscilla.

Kian added: "Look, you're both really young guys, so no matter what I say next, please don't let this be the end, I actually genuinely want to say that."

An RTE spokesperson declined to comment when contacted this morning.
