Kay a huge hit on first Late Late appearance
COMEDIAN Peter Kay put on a tour de force on the Late Late Show last night with a rousing rendition of I Useta Love Her, after dragging a clearly embarrassed friend from the audience onto the stage.
This was the star's first appearance on the Late Late Show -- and he picked up host Ryan Tubridy, bouncing him up and down, before settling down for his interview.
The star started off his hilarious performance singing his hit Is This the Way to Amerillo? before bounding over and picking up a surprised host Ryan Tubridy.
Married to an Irish woman Susan, with whom he has two sons, a three-year-old and a five-year-old, he told Ryan of his strong connections with this country. His mum, who was in the audience is a Tyrone woman, he said. "We come over here all the time. It's lovely."
Also appearing on the show last night was Peter Andre who sang his song Unconditional, which he wrote about his stepson Harvey. He said that he loves him to death.
Peter, who had a well-documented split with glamour model Katie Price, said he had fallen in love when he met her.
"I don't believe in marriage unless you are in love. And I also don't believe in marriage unless you believe it's going to last forever," he said.
Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh also made an appearance, along with the other judges of the All Ireland Talent Show. She spoke about she had been ill as a result of a twisted bowel. "I was born with it but didn't realise I had it," she said. She added that the past year has been an "annus horribilis" for her.
