KAREN Koster hit the headlines recently after TV presenter boyfriend John McGuire went down on bended knee in Italy.
But she has revealed to the Diary how he has yet to 'put the ring on it' and she's due to hit the jewellers soon and pick out a gorgeous sparkler.
"My first project is to get the ring. When he first proposed, he gave me a gorgeous ring but he said, 'this isn't your engagement ring'," she said.
"It's kind of a temporary ring until we get the real deal.
"He knows me so well that he knows I would like to get my spoke in about it so we're going to go and have a look at rings together."
And the bubbly presenter (30) said they are in "no rush" to run down the aisle and are looking at swapping vows sometime next year.
"It's going to be some time next year.
"But I just want to enjoy being engaged first. It's such a lovely feeling," she said.
Despite dating the former I'm An Adult: Get Me Out Of Here presenter for the past four years, she admits it was a "massive shock" when he popped the question.
The couple also managed to keep their good news to themselves for four days as they were on holiday near Sorrento, before breaking it to their circle of family and friends.
"He proposed on the Saturday night which was June 30 and I genuinely didn't expect it.
"I nearly dropped dead, I was an emotional wreck when he asked me.
"I cried every last bit of make-up off my face.
"We went on to a restaurant but I was far too excited to eat -- and nothing puts me off my food -- and then went on to a nightclub where we danced until 4am.
"It was easier to keep it to ourselves when we were in Italy but we decided to let the cat out of the bag on the Wednesday and we got so many nice messages from everyone. It was lovely."
Although she's not planning any nuptials until 2013, she admits to a "new found interest" in bridal wear.
They recently had Sarah Morrissey come into the Xpose studios to recreate Aoife Cogan's boho bridal look.
But when it comes to what look she would prefer, she admits to being a "blank slate".
"People always say you know when you try on the dress that it's the one for you.
"I remember Amy Huberman saying how she never thought she'd wear the type of dress she had. I guess you just know when it's right."
A well-known couple on the social scene, smitten John has credited Karen with helping him through some very tough times.
Earlier this year, the entrepreneur wrote a book called Sorted chronicling his financial troubles, where he revealed how he dealt with the downturn.
He lost millions of euros as a result of property deals but has now branched out into the restaurant business having invested in Dax Cafe bar.
