Jennifer's too busy playing Cupid to find time for own love life

RISING TV presenter Jennifer Maguire has been so busy helping others find romance that she's had to put her own love life on hold.

The 29-year-old presenter and her Italian boyfriend Lau Zamparelli have just moved into their first Dublin pad together, after fours years of having a long-distance relationship.

But the bubbly brunette host of RTE's new series One Night Stand told the Diary they've had no time for romance lately.

She has been juggling filming for the show and preparing for the launch of her second makeover studio Bella, while Lau is filming a new short film in the UK just weeks after returning from working in Australia.

"It's all exciting stuff. He's moved over to the UK for a few weeks shooting a short film. My sister-in-law and I are opening a Bella in Limerick on Friday.

"It's been hectic trying to get it all done but we're booked up for the first few weeks so it's all worth it.

"I'm just trying to make hay while the sun shines. It's basically no sleep, lots of coffee and no social life.

"Lau is the cook in our house so I've been eating Cheerios for dinner for the last three nights so I'm looking forward to him coming home and looking after me."

Former BBC Apprentice star Jennifer, who is set to play cupid on the dating show when it kicks off early next month, said she can't believe filming for the first series is coming to an end this weekend.

"We're filming our last date with the Rose of Tralee girls this weekend. I'm really excited for people to see the show now. Hopefully, people will enjoy it. It will be nerve wrecking but I'm very proud of it.

"There is always a fear that people won't put themselves out there but all of the contestants on the show have had a great time. We're not out to make a fool out of them.

"We had a lot of successes, a lot of misses and a lot of drama -- I've had a great time doing it."

The show is already being tipped to be commissioned for a second season.

"It just depends on how the public reacts to it," said Jennifer.

She revealed she has been keeping a close eye on Ray Foley's rival series on TV3, Take Me Out.

"Ray is doing really well. I think it's a good watch. I love dating shows. That said I want to beat his ass in the ratings," she added.
