Jedward fly in UK hairdresser to tend to their trademark quiffs
JEDWARD have issued an emergency SOS ahead of their Eurosong appearance on Friday -- Save our Style.
Chart-toppers John and Edward Grimes (20) are so keen to look their best at this weekend's Eurosong 2012 showdown at RTE headquarters, they are taking no chances when it comes to their famous quiffs.
The Herald can reveal that they're flying over their own celebrity stylist Louise Teasdale from London especially to tend to their tresses to make sure that they look their best.
The hair and make-up artist also looks after stars like One Direction and Olly Murs and was working at the Brits last night -- but cancelled her appointments to come over to Dublin.
"She's coming over tomorrow to give them a haircut before the show as they don't want to take a chance with anyone else doing their hair," said a source. "They need to look their best this weekend so they're using only the best. They have a great team and hopefully they'll get the right result this Friday."
They'll be going up against four other acts in a bid to represent Ireland in Azerbaijan this May and Jedward will be keeping their fingers crossed they'll make it the second time to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Earlier this week, Dublin singer Melanie McCabe was forced to pull out as one of their backing singers after she was struck down by illness. She has now been replaced by panto star Claire Molloy, who played Jill in Jedward And The Beanstalk.
Meanwhile, tickets for Jedward's new panto are likely to be snapped up when they go on sale tomorrow.
Even though they finished their run at the Olympia theatre only last month, John and Edward Grimes have already confirmed they'll be treading the boards again next Christmas.
Entitled Jedward And The Magic Lamp and featuring a cast of over 100 people, the script will be written by Fiona Looney. The twins will be joined once again by Linda Martin and Alan Kavanagh.
The new production will start on December 16, with tickets going on sale tomorrow morning at 9am.
