It wasn't just me on the stripper's pole ... birthday girl Nadia was up there too
I'm still recovering from a shoot I did on Wednesday afternoon on a tandem bicycle, which was pretty funny because I wasn't able to cycle it at all.
It was to promote alcohol and drugs awareness, which I was really happy to help out with because I think it's a very important cause.
It was good practice because myself and Nadia Forde are going to be doing a special charity day where we'll be cycling around the city on a tandem.
We get asked to do quite a few photocalls together so we spend a lot of time together. We've become really close and we always go for lunch or shopping together afterwards.
Last weekend was a busy one because it was Nadia's birthday on Friday night. It was her 21st, so a pretty big deal. My friend Jodie and I went over to Nadia's apartment first for some drinks and then we all went out to the Wright Venue together. There were loads of the girls from Assets there so it was great to catch up with them all because I don't go out that much.
Nadia was telling everyone that it was me who was up on the stripper's pole, but I'd like to point out that she was there as well. Basically, there wasn't too much dancing going on up in the Penthouse Suite so we went down to the main floor to bring Nadia dancing and spotted the poles and it all went downhill from there.
My own birthday is next week. Much as I'd like to say I'm turning 22, I'm actually going to be 25 which I suppose is a bit of a milestone. I won't be having a big party though. I wouldn't be interested in that at all.
I'm quite a private person and don't really like all that fuss so I'll probably just do a quiet night out with the girls. We'll go for dinner in town somewhere and maybe a few drinks -- nothing more exciting than that.
Of course my boyfriend Barry will also be spoiling me -- well I hope he will be anyway. We're still very loved up and really happy together. He thought my appearance on Podge And Rodge recently was very funny. I'm just glad I survived. I was really nervous going on because you never know what those two would come out with but thankfully it all went fine.
Once I got on there and started chatting to them it was fine and I actually really enjoyed it. It was pretty funny when they showed that picture of the bus with the Roma ad in the background behind the image of the car crash.
When I first saw that picture I thought it was photoshopped as a joke, but it turns out it's real. The crash had nothing to do with my picture though, the cars were already there and then the bus came up behind it and someone thought it would be a great idea to take a photo. You can only laugh.
The rest of my bank holiday weekend was quiet. Most of Saturday was spent on the couch recovering from Friday night and then that night I decided to go out for a few drinks.
I went to the George Bernard Shaw, which is one of my favourite places to hang out.
On Sunday night I decided I needed a night in so I just had a takeaway and watched a DVD at home on the couch.
I had a photocall on Monday anyway, so I didn't want to be too exhausted for it. It was actually to recreate the Hunky Dory ad that everyone has been talking about.
It seems to have been quite controversial but I don't have a problem with it at all. I think it was pretty funny.
After that I went home and cleaned the house and just watched some TV.
It is nice that my work schedule is pretty flexible and I can get things like that done in between jobs.
On Tuesday morning I had another photocall with Nadia and Craig Doyle joined us this time.
I just couldn't believe that he has three children and another one on the way because he seems so young.
He was lovely. Unfortunately he didn't invite us to go on his show though. That would have been nice. But you never know, maybe before the end of the series.
After that myself and Nadia went for lunch.
Yesterday I had a shoot with RSVP magazine in Krystle which I was really looking forward to. It was great afterwards because I had my hair and make-up done for the day. That's one of the major perks of modelling.
I don't get lots of free stuff though. People always ask me that but you never get to keep anything after a shoot.
I was thinking of Gerry Ryan's family yesterday as they had his funeral, I was really sorry to hear about his death.
I had never actually been on the programme but he would have talked about various shoots and photocalls that were on the programme and I liked listening to him on the radio.
Tonight I'll be going to a gig so I'm looking forward to that. There's a group of us going.
I haven't any other major plans for the weekend, just to relax and take it easy.
