Irma seeking the right Script for move into movies
HER boyfriend Danny O'Donoghue is well known as the lead singer of chart- toppers The Script and now top model Irma Mali looks set to conquer the big screen.
The Herald can reveal how the beauty has nabbed herself an agent in the UK and has spent the past few weeks in London taking professional acting classes.
Irma (27) was remaining tight-lipped about any prospective roles, but admits that she's hankering after a career in film.
"I just came back from London, from some acting classes over there," the Lithuanian model said.
"It's going really well. I really enjoy it and I've got a really good acting director. I'd prefer to do movies.
"I'm just trying to get into it so I haven't got too many auditions yet, but I really love it, that's the main thing."
Ambitious Irma, who moved here in her early 20s, admits her ideal would be to land a role right here in Dublin.
Even our notoriously wet and dreary weather is not enough to put her off her love of the Emerald Isle.
However, she has not ruled out a permanent move across the water should the right opportunity present itself.
"Of course I would like to do some Irish television or Irish movies here but you just never know," she said. "I don't really mind the rain here. I think after a couple of years you get used to it. I've never even bought an umbrella. I'm always so busy so I don't have time to think about things like the rain."
Irma, who has one daughter Nikoleta (7) from a previous relationship, first set her heart on a career in front of the cameras when she appeared in the video for the Script's debut single Break Even.
Love also blossomed for the leggy catwalk queen on set, after she began dating the Dublin band's frontman Danny. But diplomatic Irma was determined she would not be discussing her lovelife.
"I don't really want to talk about my personal life if that's okay," she told the Herald.
Irma stepped out to U2's Clarence Hotel alongside her friend and fellow First Options model Angelica from Brazil, as well as Vogue Williams of Fade Street fame to officially launch brand new fragrance Lynx Excite.
