I'm smitten with my student beau - Next Top Model's Hannah
SHE'S used to posing alongside some of Ireland's best looking bachelors thanks to her job as one of the country's top models, but "smitten" Hannah Devane only has eyes for one man.
The AR beauty has revealed to the Herald that she "couldn't be happier" now that she is enjoying romantic dinner dates with her new boyfriend, Serbian-born student Memanja Bukanic.
"We're completely smitten with each other. I met him through mutual friends about five months ago and we've been together since.
"This year was my first ever Valentine's Day in a relationship, too, and I loved it, I was spoilt. I totally love all the cheesiness and romance," said the Dubliner, who added that her friends and family are delighted for Hannah and had given the Blanchards-town local the "seal of approval".
The leggy brunette (20) said that her 24-year-old beau was completely "unfazed" by her high-profile job.
Hannah, who rose to fame as one of the finalists in Elle Macpherson's hit TV show Britain And Ireland's Next Top Model, admitted that on the couple's first date she was swarmed by fans on Grafton Street.
"Someone randomly came up to us and asked Memanja to take a photo of us, I felt sorry for him," she laughed.
"He met me in the height of it all, while the show was airing, but he's totally unfazed by it. He's just very supportive and laid back. He came to watch me model Helena Christensen's range in Brown Thomas last week, but that's not a typical occurrence. We're both busy doing our own things."
Although AR pals Georgia Salpa and Laura Scanlan have been looking to conquer the modelling industry overseas lately, Hannah has insisted she has no plans to move away just yet. "I'd go anywhere for modelling, but I've no plans at the moment. Ireland is my home and it suits me here. Andrea (Roche) is keeping me very busy and there are a few projects in the pipeline, too, so things are going well."
However, UCD Social Sciences graduate Hannah did divulge that she'd love to follow Georgia's footsteps by starring in a TV reality show.
"I think there are great opportunities to come out of that and I'd never rule it out, I loved it before with Next Top Model, it was so much fun."
