I'm over Vogue and off on blind date - Diarmaid

Diarmaid Maher of Fade Street fame is keen to prove he is well and truly over his crush on Assets beauty Vogue Williams after signing up to take part in a charity blind-date event next Sunday.

The Cork hunk, who was left red-faced when Howth model Vogue turned down his advances on the RTE series, admits he will be on the lookout for the right one when he steps out in the Wright's Cafe Bar in Swords this weekend.

Diarmaid also enjoyed a number of dates with fellow star of the show Melina, but claims the couple's romance failed to get off the ground.

"I'm always on the lookout for the one, you never know," he told the Diary.

"There's going to be a blind date part and an auction part so it should be a bit of a laugh.

"I'm definitely single now, I don't think Melina would be happy with me taking part in the blind-date event otherwise.

"She's lovely. I think the way things are edited on these shows can be unfair, it only shows a certain side to someone," he added.

Among the other big names due to take part next Sunday, February 27 is former Miss Ireland Siobhan McClafferty, ladies favourite Brian Fallon and Vinny Gough, and the evening will be MC'd by celebrity drag queen Davina Devine.
