I'm glad I missed out on Louis' girlband -- Dervla

CRYSTAL Swing star Dervla Burke insists she has no regrets about missing out on a spot in Louis Walsh and Kian Egan's new girlband Wonderland, which was officially launched in Dublin nightclub The Pod last week.

The Cork-born schoolgirl was snubbed by the pair in 2008 when she travelled to the capital city for the open audition.

But she now claims it was a blessing in disguise after her family band became internet sensations with their Country-inspired hit, He Drinks Tequilla.

Dervla (17) went on to explain how she has since crossed paths with Louis again, with the Mayo man urging the Leaving Cert student and her bandmates -- her mother Mary and brother Derek -- to try out for this year's X Factor series.

"I think all these things happen for a reason and I'm not sorry at all that I'm not in Wonderland now," she explained.

"I'm sure they'll do very well but I'm very happy with my own situation.

"I did meet Louis again at the Late Late Show and that's when he said we should go for the X Factor.

"We didn't get to do it in the end as we're just too busy with our own gigs."
