I'd love to find romance on Celebrity Salon, says Layla

DESPERATE Scousewives star Layla Flaherty (29) is hoping to jazz up her love life on Celebrity Salon 3.

This week sees the Galway-born beauty starting filming on the new series of the show, in which contestants include GAA hunk Eamon Fennell.

And she has revealed to the Diary how she would love to follow in the footsteps of Georgia Salpa by finding a new man -- but Calum Best isn't her cup of tea.

"I've been watching the last series back online and saw the whole romance going on. I actually did a shoot recently with Calum and I really don't see all the hype about him.

"He is a lovely guy though and when you're in that kind of environment, when you're spending time with someone 24/7 and it's all really intense, I can see how that would happen.

"To be honest, I'm not ruling out anything. I am single and ready to mingle so you never know. I'm at the point where I can't be fussy anymore."

She added how she attended two weddings over the weekend and walking down the aisle herself one day is definitely on the cards.

This week she'll be joining fellow celebs including Glenda Gilson, Nadia Forde, Philip Oliver, Julian Simmons and Nicky Graham.

And while she admits she's ready to get her teeth stuck into most tasks, she has one no-go area of the body.

"I'm okay with most things, I wouldn't mind waxing and that but the only thing I can't cope with is feet," she said. "If I had to do anything involving them, I'd need two pairs of marigolds."

She has also given herself a glam new look especially for the show, paying a visit to Ceira Lambert's salon for some Great Lengths extensions.

She originally trained as a hairdresser when she first left school, so she's hoping that will stand to her during the reality show set around a beauty salon.

And she's also hoping she'll have a more positive experience than her time on Desperate Scousewives.

She was portrayed as a cut-throat man eater during the E4 show and says a lot of the scenes were set up to hype up her character.
