I'd love to celebrate 20 years of Boyzone with reunion gig -- Keith

KEITH Duffy is hoping Boyzone will return to the stage to mark their 20th anniversary next year.

Ireland's 'manband' are set to celebrate the milestone in 2013 and Keith says he's hopeful that himself, Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch can get back together for another tour.

The band, along with the late Stephen Gately, who were previously managed by X Factor judge Louis Walsh, first got together in 1993 and now the lads are set to give their fans a spectacular birthday gig, celebrating 20 years of music.

Speaking to the Herald, Keith said: "I would love to have a reunion, but we didn't really break up in the first place. I love those lads and I would love the opportunity for us to do anything together again.

"We can see that there is still a fanbase out there. It would be nice to do, it would be nice if it worked."

And the Coronation Street star added that they won't just be reuniting for the fans.

Keith says the bandmates have been looking forward to a night out together but with Ronan Keating on X Factor duties in Australia most of the time and Mikey and Shane leading busy lives, it's hard to find the time.

"We are all so busy in our own lives right now that unless we actually book something in advance we don't get time to socialise together. So if we do come back and book a gig then we can socialise together, it would be good fun."

The father-of-two made the comments while attending the third birthday party of Clare Malone's party business Create Your Night.

"Create Your Night is a fantastic business," he said.

"It's great to get cheaper and more affordable tickets for a night out, Clare organises the whole night for you it's great. You don't have to worry about bouncers closing doors on you or anything like that, it's all sorted for you."
