I won't pop the question to Wes for leap year, I'll wait 'til he's ready to ask - Rosanna

Rosanna Davison won't be popping the question to long-time beau Wesley Quirke this leap year.

The Herald columnist and former Miss World has revealed she has no plans to get down on bended knee this Wednesday, February 29.

As a leap year only takes place once every four years, women all over the world build up the courage to ask their partner to tie the knot.

But Rosanna is happy to wait until Wes is ready to propose. The catwalk queen, who is set to grace the cover of Playboy magazine in the coming months, explained that she would rather Wes asked her to tie the knot instead of the other way around. Rosanna (27) says although she is open to more modern ways of getting engaged, she would prefer to see Wes get down on one knee.

"If I really wanted to get engaged then I would consider proposing. I'm very open-minded about it, and would have no problem with it.

"But I'm also a little old-fashioned and romantic so the ideal situation for me would be to have the man get down on one knee to pop the question," she admitted.

Although the pair aren't in a hurry to become man and wife, Rosanna previously told the Herald that the loved-up couple have discussed walking down the aisle. "We have talked about it but he's 28 and I'm 27 so we both agree we still have a few more years to go. But we will knuckle down and really think about it. We have a dog together and we live together so we have a good commitment at the moment," she said.

But if Wes does decide to pop the question you can guarantee it will be romantic. Rosanna revealed that her boyfriend treated her to an intimate meal and a bouquet of roses on Valentine's Day.

"We went for a meal in a local restaurant and just had a nice evening out together. I also got a nice bunch of roses. But we don't really do anything too extravagant for Valentine's Day as the pressure put on couples to spend huge amounts of money is just ridiculous," she explained.

Meanwhile the AR model said that she has yet to find her perfect dress for next month's VIP Style Awards.

Rosanna has been nominated for Most Stylish Woman. Although she hasn't picked the perfect gown yet. "I haven't chosen what I'm wearing just yet but I'm determined not to leave it to the last minute."

"It's a great opportunity to go all out and get really dressed up," she said.
