i might not have had the x factor, but I can really sing -- Siobhan

SHE didn't have the X Factor, but singing hopeful Siobhan McKenna thinks she has The Voice to conquer Ireland.

THE 23-year-old (pictured with Voice judge Niall Breslin above) was snubbed by the X Factor producers when she tried out for Simon Cowell's series in 2010.

But now the receptionist is determined to impress viewers, after landing a place on Kian Egan's team for the new RTE show The Voice.

Siobhan, who moved to Dublin in 2002 from Arizona with her native parents, told the Herald that she missed out on the X Factor because she wasn't Irish enough.

"I got through the first two rounds of producers and as I sang, they talked through my whole performance, it was strange.

"I felt like they didn't care or listen to me -- like they didn't think I was Irish enough. I was gutted when I didn't get through and it was really upsetting because I had to leave through the 'reject' door. I was so humiliated.

"I'm going to prove that I'm Irish enough and good enough for The Voice."
