Hunky Greg's gone but Ruth still having a ball in Tinseltown
TOP model Ruth O'Neill may be living the high life in LA but it looks like she's on her own again after her romance with actor Greg Finley came to an end.
Despite being briefly linked to the hunky star of Secret Life Of The American Teenager last year, those close to the Assets beauty have revealed how she is now enjoying the single life again.
The pair were introduced by mutual friends last summer and are said to have enjoyed a brief romance before going their separate ways.
And while the two are said to remain friendly, blonde Ruth was noticeably absent when the Hollywood star celebrated his birthday with a star-studded bash at Las Palmas last December.
His show, which airs on MTV here, tells the story of a pregnant teenager in a typical American town and sees Finley play the role of Jack Pappas, an American football player.
Castleknock model Ruth hasn't been short of A-list company since splitting up, given that she has been working with VH1 and MTV since landing in sun-kissed California last April.
Ruth (22) even had the chance to rub shoulders with Kevin Spacey and reality star Rob Kardashian at a glitzy Tinseltown bash last weekend.
"Ruth is having a ball in LA and is really settling in over there," said a close pal. "She has dated different people but isn't in a serious relationship right now. Her main focus is her career at the moment.
"She had initially planned to come home after a year, but she's doing so well now and has made so many close friends that she'll probably stay on longer," said the pal.
New York-born Ruth has no concerns about her visa running out, as she has an American passport as well as an Irish one.
The catwalk queen, who was once linked to rugby star Rob Kearney, also looks set to gain another valuable contact in the form of talented Irish actress Sonya Macari, sister of Virginia.
The jet-setting designer is set to take off for LA later this year to visit her high-profile sister and has promised to meet up with Ruth. Sonya has just landed a role in NBC comedy Chuck and will play an Italian spy in the series, which stars actor Zachary Levi as a shop worker with a chip containing spy secrets embedded in his brain.
The up-and-coming talent is also set to walk down the aisle with her long-term beau Colin Devlin, brother of Lorraine Keane's hubby Peter, later this year, with Virginia expected to be bridesmaid.
Before then, she will spend another few weeks living it up in the upmarket Spanish resort of Marbella, where she has been holidaying since just after Christmas. This weekend, meanwhile, will see Virginia and her businessman beau Kaste Dahl joined by some of Dublin's top movers and shakers when they turn on the style for the opening of a new Irish-run bar.
