Gemma hides 'war wounds' as she legs it down Titans red carpet
Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton confessed her legs were covered in make-up at the premiere of Clash Of The Titans to hide the 'war wounds' she incurred while making the movie.
London's Leicester Square was transformed into ancient Greece for the world premiere of the 3D action epic, filled with stone columns, statues and burning torches, as the stars of the film made their way up the red carpet to the Empire cinema.
Arterton dazzled in a figure-hugging, knee-length black dress, bare legs and towering heels, and had her hair swept up as she debuted her new tattoo, a tribal design behind her ear.
She said: "We all got grazes rolling around in fight scenes which we called Clash Rash.
"There's make-up on my legs. I was like, 'Get rid of the Clash Rash'. They've recovered, it was a few months ago now."
The film -- directed by Louis Leterrier, and starring Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Avatar's Sam Worthington -- requires many of the men to wear skirts.
Nicholas Hoult, who also stars in the film, joked on the red carpet: "It was very difficult being a serious actor going to work and wearing a skirt and having to fight giant scorpions. No, it was brilliant!
"We all got a bit of Clash Rash from running around and skidding."
