Five years off? Five days, more like - Adele's quit U-turn
SINGING star Adele laughed off suggestions she will take a five-year break.
The chart-topping Brit (23), who landed six prizes at Sunday's music awards bash in Los Angeles, said the event was "the most incredible night of my life". In a blog she said she was swinging between laughter and tears as she recalled the evening which rewarded her record-breaking album 21.
And she countered a suggestion that she was planning an extended break from the music world, following comments in a magazine interview.
She wrote: "I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! Five years? More like five days."
The Grammys - at which she won every award for which she was nominated - saw her make her performing comeback following surgery in the US late last year.
Writing about the ceremony, she said she was "flabbergasted" by her awards haul.
"In between laughing my head off, welling up, needing to sit down... I keep having flashbacks to Sunday night.
"The most incredible night of my life. Thank you, I am so overwhelmed, it's the strangest feeling."
