Family got me through love split, says Amanda
AMANDA Byram has told of how she turned to her family for support when her latest relationship ended.
The Sky One presenter and Total Wipeout host told the Late Late Show's Ryan Tubridy how her family advised her when she split from Australian rugby player Craig McMullen.
The couple parted late last year, although the news did not emerge until January.
Her family gave her a shoulder to lean on, she told Tubridy.
"I'm single now," she grinned before adding: "I think I need to find an Irishman."
The former model agreed with Tubridy that there was some "societal" pressure on her to marry at the age of 38.
She said that she has now learned to let this pressure go and live in the present.
Amanda, who lived and worked in LA for seven years, told Ryan that she felt she overstayed there by six and a half years and constantly missed her family.
As well as Total Wipeout, she will be gracing our small screens soon with Sky Living programme Don't Stop Me Now.
