FORMER Miss Ireland Emma Waldron has revealed she's hoping to land a top presenting gig, and she has her eye on an unlikely role alongside Marty Whelan.
Kathryn Thomas recently told the Herald that she may not be co-hosting Winning Streak after Christmas because of scheduling conflicts. The top TV host will be presenting The Voice as well as Operation Transformation, so RTE may need a replacement before the New Year.
Speaking to the Diary, student teacher Emma (22) revealed that after filming ICA Bootcamp, an episode of this season's Republic Of Telly and starring in Grainne Seoige's new series, she feels ready to change her career path and focus on presenting.
"I'm really trying to move into TV at the moment. I signed on with Andrea Roche over the summer but I'm not really doing press calls anymore, I want to focus on having a presenting career.
"I filmed an episode of Republic Of Telly and I loved it, and I did an episode with Grainne Seoige for her new series Grainne's Modern Life so I'm really trying to edge more towards TV," she admitted.
The pageant queen, who previously hosted the Irish web series Style Nation, admitted that if there was a chance she could take over from Kathryn Thomas on Winning Streak after Christmas, she would definitely say yes.
