Dubliners' diary: With Melanie Finn and Lorna Nolan
ALL eyes were on new bride Pippa O'Connor and her star-studded nuptials at the Ritz Carlton in Enniskerry at the weekend, but back home in Dublin another under-the-radar wedding celebration was taking place.
The Diary can reveal how glamorous Junior Minister Lucinda Creighton (31) held a belated bash to mark her recent marriage to her Fine Gael party colleague Senator Paul Bradford (47) this weekend, almost two months after the couple became man and wife.
The newlyweds (pictured right) invited a host of close family members and friends to join them for a meal at the exclusive Gravity Bar at the Guinness Storehouse on Saturday night.
Guests at the black-tie event sampled some of the venue's signature dishes as they toasted the happy couple with champagne and of course, a pint of the black stuff.
The party later decamped to popular Leeson Street hotspot, Buck Whaleys, where the celebrations continued into the early hours.
Lucinda had pulled out all the stops to ensure her guests had a night to remember, booking the club's exclusive upstairs VIP Parlour area, where they enjoyed a drinks reception.
Dressed in an elegant pastel coloured dress, Lucinda had said 'I do' to Paul in April at the Trinity College chapel in front of an intimate group of just 20 guests.
The couple got engaged last year in New York, after going out together for three years.
