IT was date night for up and coming actor Colin O'Donoghue and his glamourous wife Helen last night when the handsome couple stepped out to the premiere of Transformers: Dark Side Of The Moon at the Savoy.
Colin, who achieved notoriety this year with his role in The Rite alongside Anthony Hopkins, explained how it was a special occasion for the couple, as they are due to mark their second wedding anniversary next Saturday.
The down to earth actor was also accompanied to last night's star-studded event by his band, The Enemies, which has been making waves on the Irish music scene in recent months.
And while the hunky screen star admits the offers have been rolling in since he made his name in The Rite, he was determined he would be giving nothing away when it comes to his next role.
"I'm looking at a couple of scripts at the moment. I'm heading off next week over to London," he told the Diary.
"I'd rather not say for what though. Everything's really good, I've been really busy.
"The band is doing great, I came up with them to the premiere and my wife.
"It's our second anniversary on Saturday so we're celebrating," he added.
Fade Street star Louise Johnston also turned heads at last night's event after transforming her look with blonde highlights and hair extensions.
Among the other well known names who attended last night's invite only event at the Savoy on O'Connell Street was FM104 presenter Sean Munsanje, AR model Kristi Kuudisiim, fellow catwalk queen Hayley Rock and Fair City actor Maclean Burke.
