Cian's wheels too big for hotel car park

A BIG man needs a big car.

So it's no surprise that Irish prop Cian Healy drives a Land Rover Defender -- after all, he can't afford to be feeling cramped while out on the road.

But this can cause headaches in other ways -- as Cian discovered when he tried to park it in the Shelbourne Hotel's underground car park.

Cian's customised Land Rover, complete with the number 1 -- his team number -- engrained into the leather seating, was unable to gain access to the car park yesterday afternoon due to its height.

The rugby star was staying in the city centre hotel last night with his team-mates ahead of their Six Nations clash with Wales tomorrow afternoon.

Shelbourne Hotel duty manager Gary Hurley said the vehicle was safely secured at the rear of the hotel, under 24-hour security.
