Christine Bleakley, the BBC's One Show presenter, has reportedly admitted for the first time that she is dating Frank Lampard, the Chelsea footballer.
The 30-year-old, who is preparing to water-ski across the English Channel to raise money for Sport Relief, said the couple were trying to keep the relationship out of the headlines.
"It is early days, so we are trying to be low key. But I am very happy," she told The Mirror.
Bleakley, who co-presents the BBC's One Show with Adrian Chiles, added that she was hoping Lampard would sponsor her generously for her charitable waterskiing attempt. "I'll tap anyone up who'll give me money," she said.
Speculation about the relationship grew at the weekend when the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant joined Lampard's family to watch him accept the Football Writers' Association's Tribute award.
The Northern Irish presenter arrived at the Royal Lancaster Hotel arm in arm with one of the footballer's sisters, wearing a black satin dress, clutch bag and heels.
The couple are believed to have been introduced by Piers Morgan, the Britain's Got Talent presenter, at the Pride of Britain Awards last October.
Miss Bleakley reportedly took Mr Lampard to meet her family in Belfast over the New Year's holiday and was introduced to to Chelsea star's siblings Natalie and Claire at a Beyoncé concert in London last month.
But their relationship has yet to be sealed by a joint appearance on the red carpet.
