Chickens and ninjas? It must be Mrs Brown
Ninjas jumping into the Liffey and men parading around in chicken suits – it's just another day at the office for comedian Brendan O'Carroll.
The Mrs Brown's Boys creator was photographed shooting scenes for upcoming film Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie.
Fans of the show gathered around Dublin's Capel Street and Grattan Bridge to catch a glimpse.
Brendan was joined on set by his real life son Danny, who plays Buster Brady in the series and was wearing a ninja suit on the day. Paddy Houlihan, who stars as Dermot Brown, wore a bright yellow chicken suit.
Onlookers watched as Agnes Brown and her sons were chased by the Russian mafia and the gardai, causing them to jump off the bridge. Filming in Ireland will finish up tomorrow, with indoor scenes due to be shot in London in the near future.
Between takes, Brendan chatted to his wife Jennifer Gibney and enjoyed a sneaky cigarette.
But the most dramatic moment of the shoot was when stuntman Nicholas Daines launched himself off the side of Grattan Bridge and landed in a boat on the river.
The movie is due to be released in June 2014, with a string of well-known faces set for cameo roles.
Liveline host Joe Duffy, comic June Rodgers, Bachelors walk actor Simon Delaney and ex-Ireland rugby international Shane Byrne have been been roped in.
And Brendan hinted one of his favourite Irish bands has agreed to record a song just for the film. "I can't say who it is just yet," he said. "But it's very exciting."
