Celebs, glitz and a fireworks display -- Pippa and Brian's big day goes off with a bang
Model Pippa O'Connor and TV presenter Brian Ormond marry today in a lavish ceremony that follows months of planning.
The couple -- referred to as "Brippa" on the celebrity circuit -- have pulled out all the stops to make it a day to remember.
The Herald can reveal details of the exclusive nuptials, which includes an impressive fireworks display -- and the transformation of the interior of a five-star hotel.
Since securing a lucrative deal with VIP magazine -- as well as a fly-on-the-wall reality TV show which will be aired on RTE later this year -- the high-profile pair are keen to ensure guests get a taste of their lifestyle.
Model Pippa (26) and Brian (31) are getting married at St Patrick's Church, Curtistown, Wicklow, this afternoon in a ceremony attended by more than 150 guests.
And the catwalk queen goes against tradition by leaving for the church from her bridal suite at the Ritz Carlton hotel -- rather than from her parents' home.
"They were filming out at the Ritz Carlton yesterday and they stayed over there last night and they had the rehearsal there last night," an insider said. "Both of them are staying there, but last night they had separate wings."
The after-party will be attended by celebs including Robbie and Claudine Keane as well as Herald columnist Rosanna Davison and boyfriend Wesley Quirke.
"They're transforming the ballroom into a nightclub," the source added. "The entire dining room and banquet room will be transformed into more of a nightclub feel.
"And there are rumours that there will be a fireworks display at 11 tonight. It's going to be a hugely expensive and lavish touch to the day."
