Celebrity Diary: I had a brilliant hen in Spain with the girls... now I can't wait to say 'I do' to Brian
THERE'S just two weeks to go until my big day and I'm getting really excited about finally saying 'I do' to my fiance Brian Ormond.
It's all starting to feel real now that we have just the last few bits and pieces to finalise.
My bridesmaids Niamh and Avril planned a fantastic hen and gave me a send off to remember in Marbella last week.
They both live in London so it was nice to spend a full week with them, as I don't get to see them too often. We stayed in Puerto Banus, about a 10-minute walk from the port, where we had our own villa with a pool.
I actually bumped into all the Assets girls -- Georgia Salpa, Michele McGrath and Co -- on our very first night so we hooked up with them and had a couple of drinks.
Virginia Macari had planned to throw us all a pool party on the Friday night but unfortunately that was the one day that the weather turned bad and it started to rain so she had to cancel it.
I actually heard the news about Lisa Murphy's attack while I was over there. Brian contacted me to tell me about it and I was absolutely stunned. It's terrifying to think of someone putting a knife to your neck like that. I'm really glad to hear she's ok.
Since I returned from Spain I've been busy with work. I've been out at TV3 a few mornings to do Ireland AM and then I've had photocalls every morning.
Yesterday I did a press-call with Miss Ireland Emma Waldron for Marks & Spencers and I had one with my good friend Rosanna Davison earlier in the week.
She's taking part in the second series of Celebrity Salon -- which I had a ball doing last year -- so I went along to the launch party last night to show my support.
I can't wait to see the first episode next week, it looks like there's going to be lots of drama.
I'm planning a second Dublin hen with Rosanna and the other girls' from the agency next week as most of them couldn't make it to Spain.
We'll be meeting up with Sara Kavanagh, Avril Kelly, Andrea Roche and whoever else is around to have a bit of a night out on home turf. Any excuse for a party!
We'll also be getting together at the Miss Universe Ireland pageant at the Burlington next Friday night so I'll see everyone before the wedding.
I think I'll have to not drink that night because I'm feeling rather unhealthy after all the eating and drinking in Marbella.
I'm not too worried about my weight at this stage, I haven't been stressing out about it too much. I just want to look and feel healthy on the day.
I got my dress in New York earlier in the year. It's by Monique Lhuillier. Obviously Brian hasn't seen it yet as it's bad luck so it will be nice to see his reaction when I turn up at the church.
His daughter Chloe (10) is going to be involved in the ceremony so she's looking forward to getting into her dress.
I don't want to give too much away before the wedding so I'll leave the bridesmaids dresses as a surprise as well.
My sister Susannah is heavily pregnant with her first baby so I let her off the hook with bridesmaid duties. She's due straight after Brian and I return from our honeymoon to Bali and Singapore so that will be something to look forward to when we get back.
It's the first grandchild in the family so there's lots of excitement. I organised a baby shower for her before I went away last week so that was fun.
We also have my brother Cian's wedding to his fiancee Ruth Maybin to look forward to. They haven't made too many plans yet but I'm sure they'll start as soon as ours is over.
We have some high profile guests coming along to the ceremony and onto the Ritz Carlton but anyone who is coming is coming because they're our friends.
Robbie Keane and Claudine will be there, as will Rosanna Davison, Andrea and a few of the other girls.
My good friend Brian Dowling is going to be involved in the ceremony.
I can't have everyone there for the whole day but I've tried to include everyone we're close to as much as I can.
Brian's best friend Mickey Joe Harte is going to be best man so I'm sure they'll have a few surprises up their sleeves.
