Busy Aoife keeps capital waiting for first glimpse

IT looks like we'll have to wait until later in the summer to see the newly crowned Miss Universe Ireland Aoife Hannon make her debut on the Dublin social scene.

The Diary can reveal how the Kerry native has had to postpone her big move to the capital city due to a number of work commitments in the west over the coming weeks.

Pageant organiser Andrea Roche revealed how she has been inundated with requests for the Listowel-born beauty queen to do photocalls and personal appearances in her home county since she was announced as Rozanna Purcell's successor at the Burlington hotel last Friday night.

Aoife (19) will be signed up to the former Miss Ireland's own agency, AR models, upon her arrival to Dublin and will be having some new portfolio shots taken over the coming weeks.

The football fanatic is also signed to model boss Celia Holman Lee's Limerick-based modeling agency since taking the title of Miss Spin South West last month.

The leggy brunette will spend the next few months preparing for her participation in the Miss Universe finals in Sao Paulo, Brazil in September.
