RTE star Brian Ormond is keeping it in the family after his daughter, Chloe, landed a place in a major new production. Proving to be a chip off the old block, the youngster will tread the boards in a new show.
Brian told the Herald how his eight-year-old offspring is keen to follow in his footsteps and has her sights firmly set on the world of showbiz.
Young Chloe is now gearing up to make her stage debut in the Gaiety in a forthcoming production called Moving Right Along.
"She's been in the Billie Barry Stage School for the past three years and absolutely loves it. She's so comfortable being in the public eye," he explained.
"She's so funny. We did a shoot on Saturday and she asked if it was going to be in the paper.
"When I asked her why, she said it was because she wanted to bring it into school to show her teacher! She just loves everything about performing. She loves singing, dancing and acting -- she's a very active child."
And the ICE presenter, who was once a finalist in ITV's Pop Idols, said that he can't wait for her to strut her stuff in her first big show.
"It's not a starring role or anything. Her and her class are performing a song called If the Hat Fits, but she's so excited about it and I can't wait to see what she's like on stage," he continued.
