'Blooming' Sarah overjoyed as she gets ready to be yummy mummy

TOP model Sarah McGovern (31) is due her first child with hubbie Kenny Vaughan.

The Herald can exclusively reveal that one of the modelling industry's best-known faces is set to add the title of yummy mummy to her lengthy list of achievements.

The blonde Dublin beauty, who is three months pregnant and due in the late summer, is said to be "absolutely blooming". Pals say she can't wait to become a mum.

"She's doing really well and looks amazing," said a friend. "She's enjoying being pregnant.

"Her and Kenny are absolutely delighted about it and looking forward to becoming parents for the first time. It's a really exciting time for them, everything's going great.

"She's very good friends with Ruth Griffin and she sees how much she relishes being a mum to AJ and can't wait to have a baby now herself."

Sarah's one of a lengthy list of top beauties who have recently become first-time mums, including Alison Canavan, who gave birth to son James last September, as well as Herald columnist Colette Fitzpatrick.

As well as working as a busy model, Sarah is also a qualified PR and communications consultant and the brainy beauty has a degree in German, Italian & Business Studies from DIT, where she was president of the Students' Union.

And it was her interest in student politics that led to meeting her other half.

"We both decided to run for president of our respective student unions and we subsequently won," she said.

"I only remember meeting Kenny for the first time on election results night but he tells me that we met at a previous students' union event the year before.

"So I guess you can't say it was love at first sight!"

The pair were together for nearly 10 years before Kenny (31) popped the question during a dream trip to Thailand in 2007. The couple tied the knot in July 2008.

On the morning of their wedding, her retail manager groom even popped into Johnnie Fox's pub for a quick drink to calm the nerves but said he was "overwhelmed with joy" on the day.

"I'm pretty nervous but at the same time, I can't wait. I mean, look who I'm marrying, what more do I need to say?" he said.

Sarah walked down the aisle of her local church in Glencullen, Co Dublin in a stunning Fiona Todhunter creation, with the glam-filled reception held afterwards in Trinity College Dublin.

But keen to enjoy married life before starting a family, the couple headed off on a two-month dream trip around South America before deciding now was the right time.
