Birthday boy Brian's knockout night

Brian Ormond will have a double celebration tonight, when the debut episode of his first television production airs, just as he is blowing out the candles on his 30th birthday cake.

The Herald can reveal that, not only has the ICE presenter been drafted in as the MC on RTE's new reality series Charity Lord of the Rings, but he also landed a behind-the-scenes role, which saw him heavily involved with the production of the programme.

To mark the occasion, Brian will return to his favourite celebrity haunt, Krystle, for a birthday bash to remember.

Proceedings will kick off in the Harcourt Street haunt at 8.30pm, with many of the celebrity contestants taking part in the boxing show expected to be in attendance for a special screening of the programme. The dad-of-one will be joined by his long-term girlfriend, Pippa O'Connor (25) as he parties the night away alongside over 150 guests.

Assets model Pippa has been busy organising the star-studded bash all week and said she was determined that her beau enjoy his night in the limelight ahead of his actual birthday tomorrow.

The blonde beauty, who has snapped up an all-in-one black outfit from Urban Outfitters for the big occasion, was keeping tight-lipped on the details of her present for Brian, however, explaining that she didn't want to ruin the surprise.

"We'll be up in the Penthouse in Krystle, we said sure why change a good thing?," she told the Herald.

"I've been pretty busy between work and everything else trying to organise it, but it's all starting to take shape now. I've invited about 150 people to it so we should have a full house if they all turn up, I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone.

"I haven't got anything crazy planned like having Jessica Simpson jump out of the cake or anything like that. I won't be jumping out of it either for that matter," she laughed.

Expected guests include many of Pippa's friends from Assets Agency including Sara Kavanagh, Rosanna Davison, Michele McGrath and Andrea Roche, alongside many of Brian's pals from the world of TV such as Aidan Power and Liam McCormack.

Pippa celebrated her own birthday just two weeks ago and was thrilled when Brian surprised her with a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes.
