GLAMOROUS TV3 news anchor Colette Fitzpatrick has ruled out having another child, eight months after giving birth.

The mum-of-two says going back to work after having her daughter was the hardest yet – because she knows that this is her last baby.

Colette gave birth to her second child Olivia in June 2012.

The news reader also has a two-year-old son Milo with her husband Niall McDermott

"I'm back in work almost two months now," Colette told the Herald.

"I think it was more difficult going back than the first time because I'm done.

"It's always hard with the children between the creche and work, but it was sadder this time around because we have our family now and we're not going to have any more children," she added.

And the chatty presenter says there is no going back for her and hubby Niall.

"When I say that to people they say 'oh that will come back to bite you', but I was like 'oh no I know how it all works'."

Gym

Despite working a gruelling schedule, Colette says that apple of her eye Olivia is a dream baby.

"People always ask was it hard going from one to two kids but in our case it wasn't because she was a very easy baby.

"She's a little dote, she's no bother, and she's very good."

The Tipperary native showed off her slim figure in a tight-fitting green dress on Thursday for the launch of TV3's new Sony HD studio.

However, Colette says the secret to her success is not being a gym buddy, but her healthy attitude to food keeps her trim.

"I could lie to you and say 'running around, it just falls off me'.

"But I watch what I eat, I don't do any exercise whatsoever.

"I hate the gym, I hate exercising but I'm busy and I do watch what I eat."

She has been the face of TV3 News since 2006. Despite the recent departure of fellow anchor Alan Cantwell, Colette has the full backing of TV3.
