Anna's back -- and hates the 4am starts
AS a new mum, Anna Daly is used to early starts but admits her 4am wake-up calls for Ireland AM will be difficult.
She makes her return to breakfast TV on Monday.
And while she's excited to go back to "routine", she admits her early mornings for the show will take some getting used to.
"I love the show and everyone there is like a second family to me, but I hate the hours, I'd love to change the hours to 7pm instead, working evenings would be like a dream job."
The 33-year-old broadcaster has also revealed that despite the "freedom" of maternity leave over the past six months, she didn't make the most of it.
"I had a totally screwed up perception of how it would be while I was pregnant. I had all these big plans to do things to the house, get new curtains, make baby collages and photo albums, but none of it got done. "I spent every day looking after James, there was no other time to see anything through."
Anna, who saw fellow mum-of-one Laura Woods fill in for her at the Ballymount station, said she would be extremely nervous leaving her six-month-old son next week.
"It'll be really weird and there'll definitely be tears, but at least there won't be that moment when I'm dropping him off somewhere
"My husband Ben [Ward] will do that. I know it'll be daunting the first few weeks back though and now I'll pretty much have the same bed time as James."
Anna is still working out at least two times a week, after taking up an intense Pilates class to shed the post-baby pounds for the camera.
"I'm getting there, but I haven't reached my goal dress size yet. I'm a size 12 now, I want to get down to a size 10."
