Amanda's hoping pal BOD will line out for Wipeout
Brian O'Driscoll could soon be making quite a splash across the water by taking part in a celebrity version of TV game show Total Wipeout.
The Diary can reveal how the Leinster player looks set to follow in the footsteps of Welsh sportsman Gavin Henson -- who travelled to Norway earlier this year to compete on ITV's 71 Degree's North -- by winging his way to Buenos Aires in Argentina to appear on the popular BBC series.
Brian (31) is said to be in contention for a spot on a charity version of the programme, alongside former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher and TV presenter Fearne Cotton, both of whom are believed to have already signed up.
The series is hosted by Top Gear's Richard Hammond and our very own Amanda Byram, who has been pushing for O'Driscoll to take part since she first began presenting the show almost two years ago.
"He told me that he's a huge fan of the show, so I'd love to have him on," the newly engaged presenter said recently.
And now it seems the Castleknock beauty could get her wish if plans to sign the hunky rugby star up as one of the contestants go ahead.
"Brian's name was definitely in the mix when producers were putting their wish list together," said a source.
"He and Amanda have been friends for years and it was she who suggested that he would be a great candidate for the show."
