ALISON Canavan has revealed how she can't wait to set off on her new parenting roadshow.
The model and TV personality will be travelling around the country sharing her best practice about babies.
The former New York-based beauty has spoken before about her battle with post-natal depression. And the VIP columnist explained how her roadshow will be drawing on all her experiences of becoming a first-time mum to James -- who turned one last week. "It's going to be about everything from breast-feeding to post-natal depression to things like dental care," she told the Diary.
A mixture of seminars and talks, she said it's the kind of information she wished she'd had when she first had her baby. She'll be heading to Galway, Limerick, Cork, as well as Dublin, after joining forces with baby care expert Susan Grant.
Also contributing to the initiative will be Angie Benhaffaf, mum to formerly conjoined twins Hassan and Hussein.
Gorgeous Alison has worked as a model for 17 years.
Two years ago, she decided to come back from New York, where she had been living for more than seven years. She learned she was unexpectedly pregnant, much to her delight.
However, she suffered post-natal depression after the birth of her son.
She's now urging people to be more honest about the difficulties of first-time parenthood.
