Aisling set to join TV3's yummy mummy gang

Expecting: Presenter to have first baby at Christmas

TV3 STAR Aisling O'Loughlin is looking forward to a new role -- with her first baby due to arrive at Christmas.

The Xpose presenter confirmed to the Herald that she's three months pregnant -- and is already sporting a bump.

The Co Clare native said that she's "absolutely delighted" at the prospect of joining the yummy mummy brigade.

Aisling (32) says her good news came as a pleasant surprise to her and her partner, photographer Nicholas MacInnes.

The private couple have done their best to keep their romance out of the limelight to date and are looking forward to beginning a family together.

"I'm over the moon," Aisling told the Herald.

"We're both delighted. I've just passed the three-month mark so I can finally tell people now.

"I've had my first scan so thankfully it's all looking good so far. I couldn't believe it at first, I had to keep checking the pregnancy test over and over again and it was only when I actually saw the scan that it started to sink in.

"I have a bit of a bump already. I'm amazed everyone hasn't guessed. I've been eating all around me as well," she laughed.

The chatty blonde admits that she is extremely excited about the new chapter in her life and has already been swapping tips with her fellow celeb mums at the Ballymount station.

Aisling says her former Xpose colleague Sybil Mulcahy (pictured below with her children) has already offered to loan her baby clothes and is looking forward to passing on her advice.

She will also have plenty of support from other presenters at the station including new mum Colette Fitzpatrick and fellow expectant mums Andrea Hayes, Anna Daly and Ireland AM executive producer Victoria O'Brien.

According to Aisling: "I've told the girls in work and they're all delighted.

"I'll have lots of people to turn to for advice with all the mums around the place. Sybil has already promised to give me all her baby bits and pieces so it's nice to have that support," she added.

Aisling is currently on a week's holidays from her post as a showbiz reporter with Xpose and has been celebrating her good news with those closest to her.

The popular broadcaster is visiting her homeplace of Clare and says her family and friends were all thrilled.
