Gus, a Chinese crested dog who was last year named the world's ugliest pooch, has died after battling skin cancer.

A ONE-EYED, three-legged dog that won the title of world’s ugliest canine last summer has died after losing a battle with skin cancer.
Gus, a nine-year-old Chinese crested dog from St Petersburg, Florida, captured the hearts of judges at the 20th Annual World’s Ugliest Dog contest in northern California last June.
The dog, bald except for a white tuft on the top of his head, had one eye after losing one in a fight with a cat, and had hobbled on three legs after a skin tumour forced one to be amputated.
After Gus won the contest, owner JeanenneTeed said the prize money would be put toward the dog's radiation treatment.
