Whelo's Wonders in good hands

SATURDAY mornings are full of smiles at Robbie Farrell Park in Donabate. Robbie worked in fruit and veg. He'd be chuffed to see the golden harvest at St Patrick's.

Ciarán Whelan certainly is. The Dublin legend is there on the sideline every week with the U10s. There's 40 in the squad. Julie Doyle of Donabate Physiotherapy has provided welcome sponsorship (pictured, right).

"It's lovely to see all the children enjoying themselves. The place is really buzzing, and the juvenile section at St Patrick's is thriving," says Ciarán.

Ciarán lives in Donabate. Green and black are now among his favourite colours. In time, many of the young Saints could go on and wear the Blue. And when that happens, Ciarán will still be acknowledging the help of Julie Doyle.

"There's terrific talent out here and we are all very grateful for Julie's support in shaping the young stars of tomorrow."
