The Senior Hurling Championship just appears to be getting stronger and stronger and Semple Stadium will stage a fascinating double header on Sunday but from a betting point of view it could well be possible to witness two shocks.

The Senior Hurling Championship just appears to be getting stronger and stronger and Semple Stadium will stage a fascinating double header on Sunday but from a betting point of view it could well be possible to witness two shocks.

In the opener Munster finalists Limerick face the surprise package of the summer Wexford and having dumped Waterford out of the championship last weekend, Liam Dunne's Wexford outfit can continue their dream campaign and they are 7/5 to win the game.

Wexford's meeting with Clare forced extra time twice and there was still little in it at the death and only a goal separated Wexford and Waterford last week so it wouldn't be a major surprise if a draw was on the cards again at 10/1 but take Wexford to edge it by 1-3 points at 4/1.

In the other came Tipperary are worthy favourites after Dublin failed to turn up against Kilkenny in the Leinster Final and over good victories over Galway and Offaly, Tipperary will be full of confidence of progressing to the next stage but Anthony Daly's side didn't become a bad team over night and will have a major point to prove and could well progress at 5/2.

It's not a case of 'if' Cork will beat Sligo it's just by how much and the Rebels are 1/1 -9 in the handicap betting, while the Tipperary footballers could well continue their surprising run in this years championship by accounting for Galway at 6/5 with the Connacht finalists the 5/6 favourites.
