Strong Irish contingent in the Future

British Champions Day has proven to be a major talking point in the last week or so and for all the wrong reasons with the ground being a major factor, writes Niall Cronin.

The appetiser for that meeting takes place at Newmarket tomorrow with Future Champions Day attracting a good Irish representation.

The card features three Group One races and a trio of Irish trained fillies will line up for the Dubai Fillie's Mile in which Eddie Lynam will be looking for more top level glory this season, this time with Agnes Stewart but it's Jim Bolger's Lucida (pictured) who looks likely to head the market in a race that also features Ballydoyle's Together Forever.

Ger Lyons' Cappella Sansevero will face the highly regarded Ivawood in the Group One vision.ae Middle Park Stakes as they battle it out to cap off a memorable season.

Aidan O'Brien is responsible for one of the most intriguing runners on the card as Smuggler's Cove faces six rivals in the Dewhurst after an extremely impressive performance at Dundalk when he ran out a seven-length winner.
